Barrio Latino has been the guiding force of traditional
and contemporary Mexican and Latin music in Arizona.
Their musical style covers everything from samba,
salsa, cha cha, cumbia, polka, bolero, waltz, jazz,
blues, Latin crossover and funk.
It is certainly difficult to "label" this
very versatile band. Barrio Latino has appeared
with such notables as Maureen McGovern, (singer/dancer)
Gregory Hines, Los Lobos and Little Joe y La Familia.
Other credits include appearances with
Sergio Mendez, comedians Paul Rodriguez and H.B.O.'s
Carlos Mencia. They have recently had their music
featured on the hit cable TV show, "The Shield".
